Background Information[]
Hal married his ex-wife Annie at 18 due to an unexpected pregnancy. After 16 years of marriage, Hal accepted he was living a lie. He divorced his wife and eloped with his boyfriend Deacon to Alaska. Shortly after arriving Deacon was diagnosed with cancer and passed within a year.
Hal sat in a depression pit in his cabin until he came across a photo of his mom from her days as a LSSD Deputy. He remembered recently hearing about the efforts to rebuild the state, so he saved up and bought a plane ticket to San Andreas. Newly inspired, Hal seeks to devote his life to service in whatever manner he can, while still unwilling to deal with his past.
After a month of driving a cab and trying to get his P.I. career off the ground, Hal began to feel the weight of his untreated trauma become heavier and heavier. One fateful afternoon Hal became the victim of one of Mike Block's petty schemes. After learning Hal had never "run it up" before, Mike took it upon himself to train Hal to be hood. Mike gave Hal the name Chop Block and went on to have him commit 2 murders, forever changing Hal and giving him a new purpose in life.
While Mike has been away, Chop has linked up with fellow Block, Nico Morales aka Nico Block to start selling weed out of the Up-n-Atom Burger that Mike had claimed as Block turf. After calling Nico for life advice and learning the criminal ways, Lobo Esquire has since also become part of their small crew.
After Mike's death, Hal was introduced to Toporov Fyodorovich and Buffy Fyodorovich by Lobo and has become part of their team along with Lobo. Shortly after, Hal was contacted by his daughter to attempt to rekindle their broken relationship.
