General Information[]
Bolingbroke Penitentiary is the primary and only holding facility within the State of San Andreas. It is owned by the State and operated by the Department of Corrections who oversee its regulation and the caretaking of its inhabitants. It has four cell blocks which can hold a large number of inmates at one time and a spacious cafeteria with catwalk access in case of a riot.
In recent times they have opened the prison up to inmates with life sentences, referred to as Lifers, being transferred in from other states. These permanent residents are afforded the same rights as any temporary resident of Bolingbroke but due to consistent proximity to Corrections Officers are also afforded some merit-based privileges they may tend to.
