Bob Smith is the Director for the Department of Public Safety; Badge #Z-09. He is responsible with facilitating and coordinating the management of resources and personnel to all emergency services in San Andreas.
Physical Description[]
Bob Smith is in his late thirties and has a somewhat deep Southern drawl in his speech pattern. He has a blond hair styled side-parted businessman cut. He is of fair complexion and always wears a dark skull earring on his right ear.
Background Information[]
Raised in Dallas, Texas, Bob Smith grew up playing American Football when he was seven years old. When he was fourteen, his sister, Matilda Smith, was shot and killed by a gang in Dallas. After that event, He focused on his dream of becoming a star in the major leagues of Football and soon was able to join a Football team in high school. During one of their games, Bob suffered a serious ankle injury, resulting in being kicked out of the team and losing his scholarship. He soon gave up his dreams of becoming a star quarterback and went to college. After graduating, he pursued a career in law enforcement.
Bob started out as a struggling Cadet in a county sheriff's office, but was eventually promoted to a full Deputy. Throughout his first year in service, he worked his way up to the rank of Lieutenant. He then transferred to a city police department and was promoted to the rank of Chief of Police. He would eventually step down and become a detective. After four years of service, he officially retired as a cop and moved to Tijuana.
After his retirement, Bob spent his time in Tijuana for a handful of years. During his time there, he was squatting on a beach property of a fishing family's house where he would catch crabs for them. They would call him "Tío Blanco" and "El Bueno Roberto" for his good work. He would spend his free time by betting on crab fights and drinking at bars. The drinking made his memory hazy to the people he has met before.
One day, Bob was visited by the Governor of San Andreas, Jerry Callow. Jerry told him that the island had a Nuclear Event 7 years ago and needed his expertise in rebuilding the state. Jerry proposed to him to develop and structure new emergency services from the ground up for a promise of large amounts of money. Bob initially refused. But after Jerry had explained how the people there were suffering, Bob decided that he would do it. But the caveat was that he would not bring himself to become a beat cop again: he would be the Director of the Department of Public Safety in San Andreas.
